Description

Folding sheet. Biography, 24 item catalogue, Circa 1965. Grandson of General Booth of the Salvation Army. The artist Augustin Booth-Clibborn and illustrator Edward Ardizzone met as art students and remained friends until Augustin, by far the elder of the two, died in 1969. In this brief, personal account of their long friendship by Augustin’s son, the warmth and affection of the Booth-Clibborn and Ardizzone homes in north London is evoked by the 30 Christmas cards, drawn and signed by Ardizzone, and presented here in full page reproductions.
