J. de Béranger, suivi d’un appendice, Perrotin, Paris 1859 (titled third edition, but in fact first), extra-illustrated wth 60 period portraits of personnages refered to in the text. including Robespierre, Bourmont, Comte d’Artois, Brune, Napoleon, Lamartine, Chateaubriand, Bernadotte, Wellington etc. Six volumes uniformly bound in half morocco, marbled boards and end-papers, five raised bands, richly giltdec spines by L. Bouillet. A little rubbed and spines faded. Very Good.
