A collection of correspondence between Sven and Juanita Berlin and the Bladon Gallery. Relating to the 1956 show and the prospective 1970 show. Wimborne: Bladon Gallery., 1956. First edition. Three photocopy letters with ink annotations by Berlin in respect of the design of the exhibition for the 1956 show of works by Sven and Juanita Berlin. Addressed to Gordon Gumn and Mrs Bladen Hawton. A signed typed letter from Charles Parker of the Birmingham headquarters of the B.B.C. to Juanita Berlin, dated March 1st 1957; discusses the possibility of her talk ‘Stallion Eternity’ being broadcast the night before the opening of the International Horse Show. A signed letter from Doris Balon-Hawton (Founder and Hon.Curator) of the Bladon Gallery to Sven Berlin asking about the possibilty of showing some sculpture at the Annual Summer Exhibition in May 1970; with an invitation to the private view of the show to be opened by Lord Eccles. An autograph signed letter from John Dudley asking that any donations from Berlin to Lady McCall be made directly to him (card attached). Good. Loose in card folder.
