Auction catalogue for the sale held on 1 June, 1982. Printed wrappers, small 4to, [52 pages] profusely illustrated in black and white only.. 135 lots listed. Front cover and title page with a corner crease else very good. . From the introduction: “Lothar Meggendorfer was undoubtedly the greatest innovator in the history of moving-picture books. . …..The archive provides a virtually complete record of Meggendorfer’s work published between 1886 and 1911 by J. F. Schreiber in Stuttgart. This important documentary source includes over sixty titles, and was only recently discovered during the reorganisation of their warehouse in Esslingen.’
