Edmund de Waal, large porcelain footed bowl with a pale celadon glaze, dripped green rim made with copper oxide which has slightly reduced in places turning rose pink colour. The base is impressed with an ‘E’ mark indicating it is an early piece made circa 1990. The large bowl has a 3cm hairline crack which is hard to see and may have occured during the initial firing, rather than mistreatment, but this does affect the bowls ringing qualities, otherwise in very good condition.
