Edwin Smith sketch book. The sketch book is 4to. 260x330mm with Faux leather boards. Signed by Edwin Smith on front end-paper ‘E.Smith, 270 Shirland Road, Paddington W.9.‘ Some sheets have been removed but there are 90 remaining of which 42 have drawings, nearly all in ink, some with additional colour wash. There are also 11 loose sheets (from the same album). The subjects include costume designs, fantasy, figure studies and animal bone studies. Most of the drawings worked up to a high degree. Marginal staining to first few leaves. Thumbed and boards heavily cockled, esle in good condition.
