Printed from an original wood block by Gill and Hague in 1934 for Douglas Cleverdon edition ‘Engravings 1928-1933 by Eric Gill’. These woodcuts were printed in an edition size of 400 copies. In good condition.

Item details

Reference: Physick 603, Cleverdon 313,39.  The wood cut was originally made to form the letter initial for ‘H’ and as an illustration on page 166 of ‘Canterbury Tales’, published by the Golden Cockerel Press in 1929.
