A wood engraving printed from the original woodblock by Eric Gill and Hague. It was printed on machine made paper in 1934 for the Douglas Cleverdon edition ‘Engravings 1928-1933 by Eric Gill’. This edition is rare and was printed in a small edition size.In good condition.

Originally cut for a bookplate for Desmond Flower in 1932. The woodcut was subsequently printed from the original woodblock for the Douglas Cleverdon edition ‘Engravings 1928-1933 by Eric Gill’, printed by Gill and Hague, published by Faber & Faber Ltd in 1934.
