Three Eric Gill wood engravings on one sheet printed from the original woodblock. As published for ‘Engravings by Eric Gill’, published by Douglas Cleverdon, printed by The Fanfare Press, 1929. One of 400 copies printed on paper specially manufactured for this edition. With the number ‘57’ in top right corner as issued. In very good condition. Not mounted/ matted or framed.

An original wood engraving by Gill which he cut in 1923. The bock was subsequently used on page 57 in Douglas Cleverdon edition ‘Engravings 1928-1933 by Eric Gill’, printed by Gill and Hague, published by Faber & Faber Ltd in 1929.

This block was used on the cover and title page to ‘Sculpture’ by the artist, published by St. Dominic’s Press, Ditchling, Sussex, 1924.

‘Woman’s Head’   (Physick 229 ,D198, 57)

This block was made as an experimentation in cross-hatching in 1923. The bock was subsequently used on page 57 in Douglas Cleverdon edition ‘Engravings 1928-1933 by Eric Gill’, printed by Gill and Hague, published by Faber & Faber Ltd in 1929.
