Eric Gill wood engraving of a profile head, signed ‘Eric G‘ in pencil, limited edition 16/25. Printed on japon paper, the paper is lying slightly unevenly and lightly wrinkled. Mounted in card and attached at top margin with specialist japon paper. Otherwise fox free and clean.

Reference: Physick 400, Ditchling 118, 92 .  Portrait head, left profile. Proof 1926. Signed in reverse ‘EG’. Cleverdon states that this this state was printed in an edition of 25 impressions. The second state was subsequently used as plate 92 of   ‘Engravings by Eric Gill’, published by Douglas Cleverdon, printed by The Fanfare Press, 1929
