Finden; with original tales in prose and poetry, written expressly for the work, by The Countess of Blessington, Miss Mitford, L.E.L., Mrs. S.CHall etc. in two volumes. London: Finden., 1843. First edition. Hardcover. Folio. Volumes 1 and 2. Bound inmatching publishers richly gilt decorated green leather, yellow end-papers. The first volume with 31 full-page engravings of foreign scenes including Greece, Arabia, Poland, Georgia, Albania, India, Ceylon, Persia, Africa, America, Egypt, lacking the last plate. The second volume with 29 full-page plates, more anecdotal in character. The first volume, heavily shaken, a few pages loose, thumbed and with marginal staining, the second volume in better condition, but a split to lower spine edge, rubbed. Foxing, generally light to darker on heavy paper of the plates.
