Collection of music and lyrics for over one hundred folk songs of Great Britain and Ireland, adorned with Ardizzone’s distinctive illustrations. Arrangements for piano and guitar by Norman Monath. On front endpaper, the half title, is the Surrealist bookplate of Andrew Murray and an inscription in biro dated 1961. . Dust wrapper not priced clip, with some small tears at top and bottom of the spine, light creases along the edges, else very good. Inside a very clean copy. Scarce in UK.

Provenance: Andrew Murray, Director of Mayor Gallery, Cork Street, London. The Mayor Gallery exhibited Ardizzone s work in the 1960 s. Andrew Murray lent his personal collection of books and prints etc. to the travelling exhibition by Middlesbrough Museum in 1982.
