‘ Espaces Concertes ‘ by Francis Bott, is a  painting in acrylic on board. Signed & dated ’70 by the artist in pencil,with the Galerie Hilt ink stamp on the verso.
The painting has some slight surface marks including a diagonal line, see image, and the original wooden struts along painting edge are becoming detached, one of which is missing.Otherwise in good condition.

Provenance: Purchased at the ‘Works from the  Studio of Francis Bott (1904-1998)’ Sale, Christie’s, London, 16th November 2006.

‘Bott’s style continued to develop throughout his career and in the 1960’s and the 1970’s, he embarked on two major pictorial series, namely Espaces Concertés and Cathédrales.
