Francis Bott pastel drawing on thick beige paper. The drawing is dated 1960 but is UNSIGNED. There are remnants of tape on verso from a previous mount. In good condition.

This drawing is not listed in the Henze book ‘ ‘Francis Bott-Das Gesamtwerk’ published in Zurich 1988, but was purchased at the ‘Works from the  Studio of Francis Bott (1904-1998)’ Sale, Christie’s, London, 16th November 2006.

‘Bott’s style continued to develop throughout his career and in the 1960’s and the 1970’s, he embarked on two major pictorial series, namely Espaces Concertés and Cathédrales.
