No publisher given but the name James Daniels, Aberdeen, has come up at the Library in Scotland . But also, which I think is more likely, it the information on Wikipedia. There was a magazine titled ‘Funny Folks’ a British periodical published between 1874 and 1894. It was published in London by Scottish newspaper proprietor James Henderson. These were often satirical in tone, with some by john Proctor known as Puck, and some from German and French sources. It was aimed at an adult lower middle-class audience, rather than at children, and benefited from innovations in the use of cheap paper . I suspect these relate to the periodical. I have only ever seen three titles in this series. Not only that, John Proctor who worked regularly on Young Folks and Funny Folks, is very similar to the illustrations found in these albums. Due to greedy hackers the whole library system in the UK is unable to be utilized. So unable to continue my research. There is only one set held listed on Jisc Library Hub and a small number of single issues.
