George Dannatt and his wife moved to Cornwall in the early 1960’s and they began to collect local artists work. Dannatt was a self taught artist who began to imitate other artists work prior to finding his own style, which he did later develop. His early work in the early 1960’s was influenced by Ben Nicholson, Alexander Mackenzie, and Terry Frost.
