Gordon House original drawing for ‘Arcs With a Square’ 1971

Description

An original drawing by Gordon House for the screen print ‘Arcs With A Square’, 1971 which is listed as number 59 in ‘Gordon House Editions 1961-1981’. It is drawn on thin card in pencil in red pencil. In the margins of the design are small sketches for the plates for printing the image, one of which has been cut out with a sharp blade, possibly by the artist for reference. The sheet has been folded into four, therefore there are heavy creases going through the image; there are creases on the margins and a large vertical crease down the right margin; there is a small area in which a piece of paper has been meticulously cut out; the minor tears in the margins have been professionally repaired; the top margin is quite stained but can be mounted out. Not in great condition, but an interesting working drawing.
