‘Eight Reclining Figures’

Description

Henry Moore colour proof which is unsigned. The lithograph is framed at present, but it does have large margins and is not stuck down onto card. This is a rare colour variation of this print, the colours varying to the published edition. The brown being a little softer and with more yellow. Printed at the Curwen Press. It has been in our personal collection for thirty years.

Cramer states that the lithograph was printed on one state only in 1958 on Barcham Green paper and printed at the Curwen Press. The print was published by Jahresgabe der Kestner Gessellschaft with their blind stamp/ chop mark in bottom right corner in 1958.
