‘Two Reclining Figures’ by Henry Moore

Description

Printed in 1978, the lithothograph is printed in seven colours on Saunders paper by the Curwen Press. It is signed in pencil by Moore and numbered HC 5/5. (H.C. are given to someone or are for some reason unsuitable for sale are marked “H. C.” or “H/C”, meaning “hors de commerce”, not for sale.) Housed in an integral folder and within the book  ‘Henry Moore Marquette’s Observations on the methodical evolutions in his work’ by Erich Steingraber, Pantheon Edition, published by Studio Bruckmann, 1978. A hardback book in a slipcase with 100 pages, text in German, French and English, illustrated with 2 full page colour plates and many b/w photographs and figures.
The spine is lightly faded with faint rubbing to the spine edges otherwise it is in excellent condition. The slipcase has light markings, a little fraying and very slight fading.   The lithograph is perfect.
