A large John Piper water colour painted in 1969 showing Connemara Bay, Ireland. The water colour is signed in the lower right corner and dated by artist on the verso. Painted on heavy wove paper. There is a vertical fold to the right margin, John Piper had signed the painting after this fold; his signature has not been affected the same way as the water colour has, otherwise very good.
Sheet Size 60 x 80 cm (23.5 x 32 inches)
John Piper did several watercolours in Connemara during this period which Marlborough Gallery exhibited. Connemara is located in the West of Ireland in County Galway.
