Katsuro Yoshida [Japanese 1943- ]

Print maker, artist and teacher. Born in Saitama, Japan, he attended Tama University of Art . He was a central member of Mono-Ha. He participated in the 8th Contemporary Japanese Art Exhibition in 1968 ; ‘Movement of Contemporary Art in 1969; Cross Sections of Contemporary Art in 1970 and the Paris Biennale in 1971. From 1969 he began to make silk screen prints of landscapes and people and was awarded grand prize at the First Seoul International Print Biennale. He began painting from the 1980’s and created a mural in the Kamakura Central Community Centre. He also taught at Musashino University of Arts in 1997.
