First edition. 8vo. pp. 50 Illustrated throughout. Wrappers, with sealed label closing the book (broken) with the green label attached by string stapled to front cover. Artist book produced at McLean’s Tate Gallery one-day retrospective on 11 March 1972. ‘King for a Day’ consists of catalogue entries for a thousand mock-conceptual works. This copy no.908. Each copy with an original drawing by McLean loosely inserted. The drawing on lined tissue paper, this heavily creased and roughly torn(as usual). This drawing signed and dated 1971 by the artist.
