Kuniichi Shima screen print titled ‘Print of Drum Painting‘. Printed using very thick ink, almost rubberised. Possibly a serigraph, printed on a thin white card. Titled, signed and numbered 10 of 38 copies. Fine.

Kuniichi Shima   [Japanese 1935-]

Painter and print maker, born in Tokyo and graduated from Tama Art University. He helped to establish the Group Han in 1958. He exhibited regularly with the Han Group and won prizes for his print making including at the Krakow International Print Biennial amongst others. In 1980 he studied in the United States for a year
