8vo. Bound in plain card covers.208 pp. Illustrated with twenty black and white illustrations by Edward Ardizzone. On front endpaper, the half title, is the Surrealist bookplate of Andrew Murray. The plain covers are marked with stains, a cup stain on back cover and a creased corner. Inside both the corners have been bumped. The lower bump can be seen on the cover and has affect all pages within the book in that area. In the top corner, some pages have been caught and have folded over a little. One illustrations with the printers pencil line adjustments to be made for the final printing.

Provenance: Andrew Murray, Director of Mayor Gallery, Cork Street, London. The Mayor Gallery exhibited Ardizzone s work in the 1960 s. Andrew Murray lent his personal collection of books and prints etc. to the travelling exhibition by Middlesbrough Museum in 1982.
