Marina Vaizey writes ‘Blake’s poster is not only a summation of his own working methods-a creative collage which use’s wide-ranging and seemingly disparate sources brought together to make an effective whole-but also resonates with the sense of that improbable but compelling event: the Royal Academy Summer Show. The weight of the Academy history is subtly conveyed, while the poster also includes some echoes of Blakes’ own work.
