R.B.Kitaj screenprint 1967.  Printed in colour on Guardsman Red Hyperion antique board by Kelpra Press in 1967. Outside edition size of 70 ,signed in pencil ‘Kitaj’.  There is some creasing to edges, corners and some creases in image affecting the surface ink. Please examine photographs carefully for damage. On verso there is surface damage from extensive mounting and remounting. With in pencil.‘Nerve, message, defeat, heart, 1967 K(elpra) 23viii . Stock no.12043’

The edition size was 70 plus 5-7 APs (Artists Proofs), some PPs and HCs’. 1-30 published with the book of poems by Jonathan Williams: signed, numbered on lithographed title page by the author: deluxe portfolio set of PP’s dedicated ‘To Chris’ (Prater) signed by the artist and the author. Prints contained within a yellow case made by F & J Randall, London. Published by Marlborough Fine Art Ltd., London 1967.
