Raoul Dufy lithograph after a painting titled ‘L’homme dans la ville‘. Printed in colour lithography by Mourlot 1954.
Sheet size 53 x 46cm (21 x 18 inches)
The image was used for a group exhibition titled ‘Les Peintres Temoins de Leur Temps’ , at the Musée Galliera, Paris, 1954. This may possibly be the poster, although the paper is too thick and of better quality. However the same plate could have been used for both the poster and this edition on better quality paper. The measurements of the poster are 73 x 51 cm ( 28.7 x 20 inches), if the poster was trimmed there would be a discrepancy of 20cm in the height which would accommodate the text.
