8vo. 115pages. Bound in blue cloth with gilt lettering. Black & white illustrations and dust jacket by Edward Ardizzone. On front loose endpaper is the Surrealist bookplate of Andrew Murray. Clipped Dust wrapper is worn, top and bottoms edges frayed with tears the largest being 4cm, another is 3cm; small pieces missing and some tape on verso. The cover has very light damp stain. Inside very good, clean. Loosely inserted is The Scottish Arts Council label for an exhibition, in which this copy was lent for.

Provenance: Andrew Murray, Director of Mayor Gallery, Cork Street, London. The Mayor Gallery exhibited Ardizzone s work in the 1960 s . Andrew Murray lent his personal collection of books and prints etc. to the travelling exhibition by Middlesbrough Museum in 1982.
