Sandra Blow collage of hand-coloured painted card with a hand-coloured masking tape stapled to it. The collage is in black, brown and blue. Some light creasing and slight surface loss

Item details

These Sandra Blow works were all acquired at the Studio sale. They are mostly late period collages; the family advised us these were among the very last works she produced. The comparison with Matisse is apposite, she was arranging pre-coloured paper or card into collages in the same manner as the “papiers découpés” to which Matisse devoted his last years.
