Sandra Blow collage by with additional hand-painting with the  elements stapled together. The sheet does have some pin-holes and handling creases. The auction catalogue states that this was one of the last pieces that she was working on.

Item details

These Sandra Blow works were all acquired at the Studio sale. They are mostly late period collages; the family advised us these were among the very last works she produced. The comparison with Matisse is apposite, she was arranging pre-coloured paper or card into collages in the same manner as the “papiers découpés” to which Matisse devoted his last years.
