Sandra Blow etching ‘Upward Movement’

Description

Sandra Blow etching with aquatint printed on Hahnemühle paper by Richard Kimmerling in 2006. Each one is effectively unique because of the hand wiping of the plate giving a different degree of grey tone to the background. Although unsigned due to her untimely death, it does have the  Estate stamp /chop mark . This etching is number 14 of an edition of 20 . The sheet has large margins and very minor handling folds. Reference: Basford 47. She only signed the 10 proofs and the edition of 20 were to be signed at a later date, but she died before she was able to. Commissioned by Ron Howell, Strand Gallery, for an ‘Black & White’exhibition.
