Large 4to. Bound in Blue Boards with silver blocked titles to spine. 80 pages. Illustrated in colour by Ralph Steadman. First Edition 1999. In very good condition. Sold with a Sample of the book consisting a wrapper and eight pages printed in colour with Ralph Steadman illustrations. The book is advertised being published in August 1999. The sheet have a vertical fold, old crease line through out the sheets, otherwise in very good condition 1946, when he was making a living by writing fiction for American magazines, ‘Roald Dahl wrote a true story called THE MILDENHALL TREASURE. It tells how Gordon Butcher, a Suffolk ploughman, uncovered the greatest treasure ever found in the British Isles, a horde of Roman silver of unparalled beauty and value’
