On front blank endpaper is the Surrealist bookplate of Andrew Murray. Corners. Dust wrapper clipped but fine as is book .

‘A story about Kate and Tiny Teddy forgotten in a dark cupboard for a long time. The children they belonged to had grown up and no longer played with them. Then, one day before Christmas, they were taken out of the cupboard and thrown into the dustbin. Discovered and loved again. Christmas story….’

Provenance: Andrew Murray, Director of Mayor Gallery, Cork Street, London. The Mayor Gallery exhibited Ardizzone s work in the 1960 s . Andrew Murray lent his personal collection of books and prints etc. to the travelling exhibition by Middlesbrough Museum in 1982.
