Bound in cream boards with red design and black and red text on cover and spine, 141pp., black & white illustrations by Edward Ardizzone. On front loose endpaper is the Surrealist bookplate of Andrew Murray. Clipped Dust wrapper is worn, top and bottoms edges frayed and with a green crayon mark on front , edges lightly worn. Inside there is foxing to the endpapers, else very good. Loosely inserted is The Scottish Arts Council label for an exhibition, in which this copy was lent for.

Provenance: Andrew Murray, Director of Mayor Gallery, Cork Street, London. The Mayor Gallery exhibited Ardizzone s work in the 1960 s . Andrew Murray lent his personal collection of books and prints etc. to the travelling exhibition by Middlesbrough Museum in 1982.
