This catalog was prepared to accompany the exhibition at the Museum of Art, the Pennsylvania State University From October 31 to December 22, 1976. And subsequently at the Everson Museum of Art from April 22 to May 30, 1977. Essay by William Hull. Checklist with 82 works catalogued. Illustrated with 24 black & white photographs reproduced, with some colour. Ephemera included : Calendar for September-October 1976 and November December 1976 Museum of Art, Pennsylvania; Address label to David Coachman at the Victoria and Albert Museum; Invitation to the Private View for the exhibition in Pennsylvania.  Size 20 x 15cm (8 x 6 inches)

Item details

Provenance. David Coachworth David Coachworth joined the Victoria and Albert Department of Circulation in the late 1950 s as a museum assistant. In the early 1970 s he was involved in numerous exhibitions including International Ceramics which was exhibited in 1972. It seems likely that his friendship with Lucie Rie developed during their collaboration with the exhibition.
