Two Donkeys and a Bridge by Ralph Steadman

First published in the USA in 1972, this is the revised 1983 edition, different title, same story and illustrations. 4to. Bound in pictorial laminated boards without a dust jacket as published. Not paginated. [32 pages] Illustrated through out in colour by Ralph Steadman. A story about two boys who wanted to be friends but lived on opposite sides of a river. They persuaded their communities to build a bridge to least. Which they did until unrest between the two communities happened over a missing prized turnip and they put barbed wire around it so nobody could use it any more. One of the boys donkey had ate the turnip without any one knowing splitting both communities. The laminated covers are just lightly worn, else a very good almost fine copy.
