Description

William Gear painting of a back view of a standing female nude loosely painted in black paint over a wash of vertical painted colours of blue, yellow ochre and green on cream paper. Signed and dated ’37 by the artist  in black paint. Paper a little grubby; paper discoloured along lower margins and the lower right corner; corner of sheet in lower left missing; minor creases and tears especially in lower right corner and edges, else good.
