Item details

‘A Furnished Landscape’, the portfolio of twenty five prints including three woodcuts, five lithographs, eight etchings and nine screen-prints, was published by Bernard Jacobson Ltd in 1974 in an edition of 90 copies. The prints were printed by various printers including Advanced Graphics, Robert Saich, Ian Lawson and The Print Workshop.

‘This portfolio must be one of the most all-embracing graphic explorations on a theme of landscape ever made by a single artist, for in addition to etching and screenprinting,  Tillyer added both lithography and woodcut to his repertoire, thus embracing all four graphic techniques. Proceeding from a unique understanding of his media, since his teaching duties had cover all facets of printmaking…’  Pat Gilmour  ‘William Tillyer.
