Kenneth Lindley two proofs on one sheet, printed on each side of the sheet. One side is a rare Mono-print of a nude woman printed in green ink. On the verso is a proof of ‘Road to 4 Mile Clump, Wiltshire’ printed in black ink.The Mono-print of a nude woman is rare. The artist did occasionally do mono-prints of which this is one. Neither images are signed. They are printed on smooth cream ‘Basingwerk’ paper. The mono-print can be partially seen on the sheet on the verso in the margin of the wood engraving. They are printed on a large sheet of paper which is folded in half, but only one half has been printed on. The sheet has some soft handling folds, else very good.
Folded Sheet Size 180 x 285 mm [7 x 11.25 inches]
The final edition of the wood engraving titled ‘Road to 4 Mile Clump, Wiltshire’ was of 50 numbered and signed copies printed on japon paper. Not dated but circa 1970.
The mono-print, I am unable to find anything else similar by him.
