Stephen Walker British 1990-2004

Stephen Walker was born at Blakeney, Norfolk on 1900. A self-taught artist whop was a market town chief cashier on the Norfolk/Suffolk border, before moving to Palgrave, Suffolk. A member and exhibitor at the Norfolk and Norwich Art Circle 1936-1946. He was a member of the Royal Society of miniature Painters, Sculptors and Gravures and specialised in painting horses and farm scenes. Stephen Walker died on 4 February 2004, at the age 103. At the sale of his pictures at Diss after his death, the top price was for a painting of two horses on the cliffs at Dunwich in Suffolk sold for £7,600.
