‘Since your phone call I have been thinking about the make up of the book and the idea which I am pursuing is that the pages will start with the evolvement of my methods towards painting and printing.

I usually end up with an image or images simplified.although trending towards total abstraction my original conception is quite complex with many sources and references, even tonal and romantic, so I thought that I would start with the sketchiest prelims. Through the thought process of isolating an image to finalised pieces along the lines of things pat and things now and ending with what I am brandied with to date.’
