Angus Suttie Triangular shaped Candle Holder, made circa 1985

Freely hand painted in bright under-glaze colours with a transparent glaze.  The candle holder has three columns to hold candles with a triangular base . The base sits on three pointed legs and is signed with a large ‘A’ on base. The clay appears to be a white based clay as opposed to terracotta which he has used for the cups. There is an old label, number ’35’ which I have left in place. Believed to have been purchased in Amsterdam in the 1980’s by the previous owner. As several pieces from the same collection have the same number, this possibly relates to a customer number rather than an exhibition number. In excellent condition.
