Angus Suttie Fantasy Spoon, made circa 1985

Spoon with a wavy handle painted in blue, green, yellow under-glaze stains with a transparent glaze. The handle has a ‘x’ design running along the handle and each ‘X’ has been painted in lustres, in a different colours with gold highlights again painted in lustre. Lustre firing would need to have a separate firing at a lower temperature. The spoon has a label with the number ’35’ . Believed to have been purchased in Amsterdam in the 1980’s by the previous owner. As several pieces from the same collection have the same number, this possibly relates to a customer number rather than an exhibition number. In excellent condition.
